KlabCutPrivacy policy
This policy explains what KlabCut (made by Nguyen Tran Tuan Kiet, trading as KlabCut) collects, why, and what we do with it. The short version: your footage never leaves your computer, and we keep only what we need to run your account.
What we collect
- Account: your email address and password (stored securely by our account provider, Supabase; we never see your password).
- Licence check: a scrambled ID of your computer, your computer's name and when the panel last checked in, so each licence works on one computer.
- Purchases: handled by Paddle.com, our reseller and Merchant of Record. Paddle collects your payment and billing details under its own privacy policy; we receive your email, what you bought and the order status, never your card number.
- Support: anything you send us by email.
What we don't collect
- Your footage, audio or projects. KlabCut transcribes and edits on your own computer.
- Tracking or advertising cookies on klabcut.com.
AI features
When you use features that need AI, transcript text (and pictures you paste into the chat) go from your computer to Claude through your own Claude account. Anthropic's privacy policy covers that; we don't receive or store it.
Why we use it
To run your account and licence, process purchases and refunds, help you when you contact us, and email you about your account or important changes. We don't sell your data.
How long we keep it
For as long as you have an account, then as long as the law requires for purchase records.
